Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms with a difference
large portobello mushrooms (as many as you like)
grated cheese (Gouda or cheddar)
crushed garlic or one garlic clove chopped
finely sliced steak (portion depends on how many mushrooms you are stuffing)
1/2 chopped onion
red bell pepper
Remove the stem from the mushrooms and chop them up.
Pre-heat your oven on 200 degrees.
Heat up a pan with some butter and fry up the mushroom stems, steak, garlic, onion, red pepper, parsley and feta cheese together.
Place the empty portobello mushrooms in the oven for 10 minutes.
Once the mixture in the pan has been cooked to your satisfaction, fill up the mushrooms with what you can fit into each one.
Place the grated cheese on top of the stuffed mushrooms and place them back in the oven until the mushrooms are cooked and cheese has melted.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
The credit for this recipe goes to my amazing man and his creative thinking.
P.S. It was to die for.
