Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is an extremely dangerous short-term condition that can happen so quickly. When you are running high blood sugar levels and the insulin in your body is too low to manage all the sugar running through your veins, it results in a build-up of ketones. Stress and infections also increase your risk of DKA.

Diabetes can damage the small blood vessels in and around the eyes, which leads to problems with your vision.

if you leave this untreated can end in cataracts, glaucoma, or even complete loss of sight. make sure you get your eyes checked regularly.

Heart and Kidney Damage

None of us want our heart or kidneys to fail. We have an increased risk of developing kidney and heart problems at a much younger age compared to non-diabetics.

Let’s give ourselves the best chances in life by controlling our blood sugar to reduce our risks of kidney failure, stroke, and heart attacks.
